🤖 We automate your project with AI
What it is
AI and software engineering tailored to your business
Scan and Buy's custom developments combine artificial intelligence and software engineering to solve specific challenges in your business: computer vision, biometrics, process automation, iOS and Android mobile apps and web development. The same team that built Scan and Buy's autonomous retail engine —the one running our own stores— creates solutions tailored to your case.
We work in sprints with weekly demos, integrate with your current systems via API and provide ongoing post-launch support. We apply AI across sectors as diverse as biomedicine, industry and manufacturing, precision agriculture, security and identification or public entities, always with a scalable architecture as your company grows.

How we work
The fear is not the technology. It is the never-ending project.
Nobody commissioning custom software fears we cannot code. They fear paying for eight months with nothing to show, ending up tied to a supplier who becomes indispensable, or discovering at the end that the software does not fit how their company works. These four decisions exist for that.
Something you can open from week one
No screenshots, no mock-ups: it gets deployed. From the first sprint there is an address that opens on a phone and can be clicked, even if it does little. It is the only honest way for the client to see whether we are heading the right way while changing it is still cheap.
The code is yours, and so is the server
The repository is handed over and the infrastructure can live in the client's own accounts from day one. There is no licence that expires and no hidden piece without which nothing runs. If one day you want to move it to another team, you move it: it is yours, and that includes being able to let us go without drama.
Whatever is scariest gets built first
The usual order —easy things first, to show progress— leaves the real risks for the end, which is when there is no budget left to solve them. We attack the doubtful integration, the volume we are not sure holds up or the regulation to comply with first. If something is going to go wrong, better in month one.
Tests where there are consequences, not everywhere
Chasing a hundred per cent coverage is expensive and protects nothing on its own. Whatever costs money when it fails —the money, the permissions, the figure that goes to a public body— is covered thoroughly, and whatever you notice by looking is left light. In the point of sale we operate that means 168 tests on the money; on the marketing site, none.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What kind of projects do you develop?
Computer vision, biometrics, AI automation, iOS and Android apps, websites and custom software such as ERPs, CRMs and B2B/B2C platforms.
What is the work process like?
In sprints with weekly demos: we analyze your idea, send you a no-commitment proposal and move forward with frequent deliveries and validations.
Does it integrate with my current systems?
Yes, via API, with a scalable architecture that grows with your company.
Which sectors do you have experience in?
Biomedicine, security and identification, industry and manufacturing, precision agriculture, public entities and process automation, among others.
Do you offer post-launch support?
Yes, we provide ongoing post-launch technical support, plus improvements and maintenance.
Who owns the code when we finish?
You do. The repository is handed over and the infrastructure can live in the client's own accounts from day one. There is no licence that expires and no hidden piece without which nothing runs. Being able to take the project to another team without asking us is part of the deal, not a concession.
How much does custom development cost?
It depends on scope, and anyone quoting a figure without hearing the problem is guessing. What we do publish are the management platform plans, from €490/month, and the full breakdown of an autonomous store. For a bespoke project the first conversation is free, and out of it comes a fixed quote by phases, not an open bag of hours.
What if the project drags on?
That is the real fear of anyone commissioning this, so it deserves an answer. We work in phases with something deployed and openable from the first week: if there is nothing to show after three weeks, the problem is visible after three weeks and not after eight months. And we attack whatever is scariest first —the doubtful integration, the uncertain volume, the regulation to comply with— so the expensive surprises appear while there is still room.
Do you work with companies outside Spain?
Yes. There are projects in production for Spain and Argentina, and we build for Mexico and Colombia. What changes between markets is not the technology: it is the currency, the payment method and the tax obligation. Each country page explains what each one involves, and we say plainly where we operate and where we do not have a client yet.
Have a project in mind?
Tell us your idea. We analyze it and send you a proposal with no commitment.
